Raising the profile of a high tech shower head
Prior to its newest performance-showering product’s official debut at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, Kohler Plumbing soaked up a cascade of media interest for the DTV, a digital valve that controls and customizes the showering experience. The product was previewed at an exclusive media reception at New York City hotspot Sapa amid mobile shower demo units and eye-catching audiovisual accompaniments.
A combination of e-vites and extensive phone follow-up drew more than 80 national media contacts to see the hot new product in action and – in keeping with the digital product being promoted – editors received their press materials loaded onto a Kohler-branded iPod Nano. Attendees included key editorial contacts from an impressive cross-section of outlets, from Good Housekeeping and Family Circle to Wired and The Wall Street Journal.
